Who is Jesus

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God

Hebrews 12:2

Statement of Faith - Who is Jesus

We know God as the Creator of all, and our faith is anchored in God and His Word, and love as we see that in the complete divinity of Jesus Christ, who is both fully God and fully man (John 3:16, Matt. 28:18, Matt 2:1)

Our faith is grounded in the complete divinity of Jesus Christ, who embodies both God and humanity (Matt. 28:18, Matt 2:1). Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14), He lived among us, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose on the third day, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, with a promise to return and reign on earth.

We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ’s crucified body, His ascension to heaven, and His ongoing role as our High Priest and Advocate (Acts 1:3; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 7:25-26)

Salvation through Jesus Alone

Regarding salvation, it is solely by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, that we are justified and born again of the Holy Spirit (Romans 2:4; Ephesians 2:8-9). This assurance of salvation is guaranteed by God’s adoption, the sealing of believers by the Holy Spirit, and the promise of future joy in heaven (Galatians 4:4-7; Ephesians 1:13-14).

As believers, we are called to walk with Christ, worship Him, and serve Him, growing in spiritual maturity and leading others to do the same (Colossians 1:28; 2 Timothy 2:2). We believe in the mutual ministry of all believers within the local church, guided by the spiritual gifts bestowed upon us by God (Ephesians 4:11-12).

Resurrection and Ascension

We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ’s crucified body, His ascension to heaven, and His ongoing role as our High Priest and Advocate (Acts 1:3; Acts 1:9;

Hebrews 7:25-26). For deeper insights, consult 1 Corinthians 15:12-19.• We affirm His dual nature as both fully God and fully human (John 1:1, 1:14, 1:18; John 14:8-9; 1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus, the second member of the Trinity, lived among humanity in a human body, leading a flawless life and accomplishing redemption by His crucifixion, bearing the consequences of sin’s wrath. Romans 5:18
